The editing went a lot better than it did the first time which I was happy about and made it my mission to have this completed as quick as I can but also the best I can.

editing the music video 2
The second time I edited the music video, I was a lot more confident and able to do it on my own. Due to the setback from the first time editing, I was under a lot more pressure to edit the video as I had very little time.
I focused on getting all the shots into place and matching the lip syncing to the words of the song and began adding transitions in to make the music video flow. I used Quicktime player to film an example of adding transitions to my music video but the quality of the footage isn't the best.

editing the music video 1
Before I began editing my music video, I re-watched the footage and arranged how the video would go in terms of the patterns of the shots. I then had to download the song I was using for my video and that took a while as a number of the mp3 converter sites were either blocked or wouldn't let me download the song with out subscribing and paying money. Eventually I was able to get the song and start editing properly, to edit I used Adobe premier pro which is what I used for other videos that required editing.
I found using Adobe Premier a bit difficult as it had been a while since I used it so it did take some time to get used to using again, I got help from class members and teachers in order to help me get used to editing on Premier Pro again.
Overall the first day of editing took a while to actually make some progress due to the decrease in my knowledge on how to use Premier Pro. although that was the case, I was still able to edit some footage which is always a start. I enjoyed editing and learning everything again as It has made me more confident in editing again.
Filming the music video day 2
The second day of filming, we went to Southend to film some more shots that would look more interesting and fun as there is a massive theme park there which we could use to create some really fun shots for my music video. We were filming there for about 4-5 hours just choosing good places to film some shots and making sure that they were suitable, once again the weather was perfect for filming but it did get very cold which meant I wanted wrap up and stay warm which meant what I was wearing for the video was covered.
During the filming we did not encounter any conflict, we stayed very focused and wanted to make sure that we were doing our best to produce good footage. When we got back from Southend, we sat down and looked at the footage and deleted footage that we thought shouldn't be used or wasn't good enough and narrowed our footage down to about 51 videos from 106 videos.
Overall our second day of filming was very good, it also gave me confidence as I knew I had some fun looking shots for my video to liven it up a lot more so it wouldn't look so boring. It did take a log time to get good shots as we didn't want them to look like they were just done quickly whilst we were out. Instead we planned what we were going to do in each shot so it didn't look like a vlog.

filming the music video day 1
the first day of filming, myself and cameron (the person who is in my music video) set off to a park in order to collect footage of us both having fun and messing about. We filmed various different things including wildlife in the park and each other. The weather was great for filming in which meant we didn't have to cut the filming short due to bad weather, after filming in the park we went to my house and began to film the actual lip syncing part of the video. I had Cameron use an acoustic guitar and had him sit down infront of the camera, with the camera moving around him and even filmed him from the side so that i had a range of different camera angles in my music video.
Cameron struggled with the lip syncing as he couldn't remember all the words to the song. This stressed me out a lot as I knew I only had limited time but it also affected Cameron as I was getting angry with him which resulted in him not putting 100% effort in. We soon resolved the conflict between us and were able to carry on filming without any major problems in the way.
Overall, the first day of filming was fun even though there was a bit of a rough patch towards the end. I was able to collect all the footage I needed on that day and also tried out a lot of new camera angles and movements.

editing to the beat
This exercise allowed us to get to know how to edit videos to the beat of the music.
rough cut
After the change of idea we began to film the music video, halfway through filming we looked at some of the footage and noticed the quality of the image was not clear and had black lines going through the picture due to the lights that were on during filming. After discussing this with my teachers we agreed I should borrow a school camera instead to film my music video.
To make it asier for myself to pick specific parts of the clip that I wanted to use for my video, I used the letters I and O in my keyboard. I is pressed to start selecting sections of the clip and you will know because a green bar shows up and when I have the section of the clip I need, I then press O and it will look the same as the image above.
I chose to layer the clips as i could keep adding different parts of each clip onto the same row when I needed to, this makes the process a lot more easier that keeping all the clips on the same row.
People said that the lip syncing was really good in my rough cut but because its only a short sample they couldn't say much about it.

production meeting 4
for my 4th production meeting, I met with my friend to help him learn the lyrics of my chosen song as he was unfamiliar of it and to also talk about what I wanted from him when filming him for my video. To get him to understand my needs, I showed him the music video for my chosen song so he could get an idea of how he should position himself, move about and where he should look which he found a lot more helpful. we then took a few practice shots to see if he was comfortable and then arranged the dates that we would be shooting the music video.
